
Benjamin J. Padgett is a photographer residing in Las Vegas, Nevada. His photographs capture classic & modern architecture, majestic landscapes and beautiful cityscapes, along with other inspiring visuals found between the Carolinas and California.
Subjects depicted range from the waterfalls and fall foliage in the Great Smoky Mountains to the Art Deco architecture in South Beach. Of particular focus has been the architecture and ironwork in historic Charleston, SC along with the Golden Gate Bridge and other inspiring sights around San Francisco. The neon lights of Las Vegas also provide continual subject matter, along with the architecture of hotels and casinos.
Benjamin’s latest concentration is on photographing majestic landscapes such as the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley, Red Rock Canyon, and the awe inspiring Yosemite National Park with waterfalls taller than all buildings in the world. Look for many new and exciting compositions to be added to Majestic Exposures on an on-going basis.
The most influential and inspirational photographers for Benjamin are Ansel Adams, Ron Rocz, Edward Weston and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Other favorite photographers include Peter Lik, Rodney Lough Jr, and David DuChemin.
Several of Benjamin's Charleston photos were published in Charleston, South Carolina and the Lowcountry: A Photographic Portrait. Several photos featuring Red Rock Canyon have also received top awards in the Red Rock Canyon Photo Contest as well as in the Scenes of Summerlin contest in Las Vegas.
